When investing in a professional photography session, it’s important to consider what you'll do with your images after the session. While digital files may seem like a convenient choice, they often end up lost on a hard drive or forgotten in a cloud storage folder. Instead, investing in high-quality albums and wall art ensures that your memories are preserved and displayed for years to come. Here’s why albums and wall art are the best choices for your photography investment.
A professionally crafted album is more than just a collection of pictures—it’s a storytelling experience. With an album, you can relive special moments in a tangible way that digital files simply can’t replicate.
Displaying your favorite images as wall art transforms your home into a personal gallery of cherished moments. Unlike digital images that remain unseen in a folder, wall art brings daily joy and serves as a beautiful reminder of the people and experiences you love.
Sure, digital images have their place. However, relying solely on them comes with risks.
While this question should probably have it's own post, I think it is necessary to explain why I chose these specific photos to accompany this information. Albums are certainly the perfect item to invest in if you want to include a variety of themed photos or scenes, such as the little bed scene or the duck call scene. However, if you choose wall art which matches the aesthetic of your home or the vibe of the newborn's nursery, your wall art will tend to appear much more classic.
I remember a time years ago when I photographed sweet baby boy in swim trunks on a tiny bright colored inner-tube with his hands behind his head, belly up. The background was a bright blue to mimic water, of course. The photo turned out beautifully! However, when it came time for the family to choose a wall-art display, this photo just didn't seamlessly fit into the canvas grouping.
Similarly, while a large canvas of sweet Hudson with his duck call fits perfectly in his hunting-themed nursery it was the more muted, less colorful photos which this family chose to display throughout the remainder of their home. Oh, and I think it's basically a rule, if you're an Aggie, to proudly display an Aggie photo of your newborn, who is most certainly destined to also become an Aggie, somewhere in your home....right?!?! #gigem
Your photography session is an investment in memories, and how you preserve those memories matters. Albums and wall art provide longevity, emotional connection, and everyday enjoyment that digital files simply cannot match. When planning your newborn session, consider investing in physical products that will bring joy for years to come.
